Is Wine Healthy?

Not everyone will benefit from drinking. For some, small amounts can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes — but one drink a day is enough for many. If you don’t drink at all, that’s even better. Heavy alcohol use has been linked to certain cancers and liver disease, while even moderate drinking can raise blood pressure and cut into your sleep time.

Alcohol has a vast effect on your body. Although it can be good for you in smaller doses, heavy drinking is never a good idea — because of the damage it causes to your internal organs like your liver and heart. Alcoholism is a dangerous condition that affects millions of people across the globe. But there are ways to cope with or overcome this addiction, through rehabilitation and other treatment methods.

Alcohol can be a boon to your health, if used in moderation. But alcoholic drinks can also harm the body in many ways, especially if one starts abusing them. No matter whether you are a habitual drinker or not, the liver disease can be triggered by heavy alcohol consumption. The best way is to keep yourself away from alcohol for good.
